About
Da Nang is increasingly popular for its combination of beautiful beaches, cultural sites, and modern development. My Khe Beach is a long stretch of white sand, named "China Beach" by US soldiers during the war. The waters are clean and generally safe for swimming.
The Golden Bridge at Ba Na Hills is a stunning architectural achievement: a giant pair of stone hands supporting a pedestrian bridge 1,400 meters above sea level. The Marble Mountains are five marble and limestone hills named after the five elements, with caves containing Buddhist sanctuaries.
Da Nang is also a food destination. Mi Quang (turmeric noodles with herbs and pork/shrimp) and banh xeo (crispy Vietnamese crepes) are local specialties. The city is more relaxed than Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, with a pleasant coastal atmosphere.
